Contest

Belle entered a contest that she got thru school. She brought home "Name the Canby Cougar". She got to color the picture and name it and it would hang in Thriftway. Well after a lot of thought Belle came up with the name Sam. I told her we needed to be more creative but she really wanted to do Sam. So I said okay, but let's make the S and the A and the M stand for something. So together we came up with Safety Always Matters.
So we waited and waited and finally forgot that we entered the contest and they called us and left a message on our machine which Belle listend too several times because she was so excited. Belle was runner up. So after school we zipped over to Thriftway to pick up her prize. We talked to the lady and she told us that there were over 200 entries Belle won runner up (which there were 20 runner ups and 1 winner) and that they REALLY like Sam, but Safeway has a Sam already and so they couldn't use it too. So we got her prize raced out side and opened the bag. It was full of canby (chocolate that had wheat boo) and a pizza coupon (again wheat) and finally a cute little stuffed animal that Belle loved because she couldn't love anything else in the bag. So I lookedat her knowing that she was disapointed in the whole wheat deal and I said, come on, let's go get a coffee. So we ran over and grabbed a warm milk and a fruit bowl and it made her day.
