Holy Cow, it's been 10 years of wonderful :) marriage all ready. Where does the time go? A house and 3 kids later we are still in it for the long haul. We both agree that we have something good, even if it is tough at times!
So how do normal people spend their anniversary? I got Sean to watch the kids and I called my sister and planned a girls day. That's what anniversary's are for right? ha
So Suzie and I started our morning off hitting the Nordstrom Sale. We left there empty handed (boo) but had fun looking and seeing some of our friends too! We then went to get our hair cut at a new salon in Lake Oswego. That was a lot of fun. On the way there Suz gave me a card from Sean telling me how wonderful I was (like I didn't all ready know this but I was happy he knew too ha) We left the salon (with straight hair and all) feeling pretty. We then went to lunch at the Ram and ate outside. The weather was perfect. Suz then gave me another card filled with some lottery tickets. So we scratched away and won $4, we were hoping for more but were happy with what we got!!!
We then went over to Bridgeport and did a little shopping. Still empty handed we wandered around and came to a spa where Sean had a massage and a facial waiting for me. I want to say I was thrilled but all I could think about was that in a few hours we were going out to dinner and I was going to be all greasy w/o any make up on and I still had a few stores I wanted to go to (and being a mom with kids you think about precious time). So I immediately said No thanks...my sister said WHAT??? You better get it done! I then said my whole story about the dinner and stores and I agreed to do the facial (which was wonderful). Sean was upset that I didn't take advantage of the massage too but it turned out okay.
Sean met me (Suz had the kiddos at this point) and we had dinner at California Pizza Kitchen and we were able to sit and eat and share a HUGE dessert YUM!
It turned out great!
I am not really into surprises, I am a planner, but learning from the experience I am going to be daring next time and just take the massage and learn to say Who Cares What I Look Like or How Much It Cost!!!!!
Sean spoiled me, I wish I could say the same for him, but the kids and I did pick some flowers from the yard (which he thought were nice) and wrote a nice card!
